Where Should A Diesel Generator Set be Installed?
With the increasingly higher and higher living standard of people and the increasingly higher and higher electricity consumption, the national power deficit is also larger and larger. For this reason, diesel generator set becomes an indispensable power. Then where is suitable for a diesel generating set to be installed after it is bought?
The place where a diesel generating set is installed should be clean, and the materials that may produce corrosive gas such as acidity and alkaline and steam are forbidden to be put around. If necessary, the diesel genset should be equipped with fire unit.
1. The shell of the diesel genset should have reliable protective earthing. As for the diesel generating set needs neutral-point solid ground, it is necessary to have professional personnel for neutral grounding and to equip lightning protection device. It is forbidden to use the rounding device of commercial power for neutral-point solid ground. The bilateral switch of the commercial power must be very reliable to avoid reverse power transmission. The connection reliability of the bilateral switch should be examined and accepted by the local power supply department.
2. The installation site of the diesel generator set should have good draught and the generator end should have enough air intakes and the diesel engine should have good air outlet. The size of the air outlet should be over 1.5 times bigger than the area of the water tank. The aged diesel generating set should have concrete as the foundation. When installing, a leveling instrument should be used to measure its levelness make the generator be fixed a horizontal foundation. The generator set and the foundation should have professional crash pad or anchor bolt. Modern diesel generator does not need concrete as foundation as it has been improved, and the whole unit ground is flat and the unit is equipped with absorber, which is very convenient.
3. When used indoors, there should be eject smoke pipe leading outside, and the pipe diameter should be larger than the outlet smoke pipe diameter of the absorber. The bends connecting the pipes should not be more than 3 to ensure the unblocked smoke discharging. In addition, the pipes should be 5-10°tilted down to prevent raining from going in. If the smoke outlet pipe is vertically installed, rain cover should be equipped.
